In the fourth dormitory of Rat Production, also known as "Nezumi-sou," there are girls who are struggling entertainers: Roko Sekino, a former child actor, Hayu Nukui, a musician, and Nina Maehara, a model, living together. Into this mix comes a girl named Ino Sakura, who dreams of becoming an idol and moves to Tokyo. However, around the same time as her arrival, it's decided that the dormitory will be demolished because it's not profitable to keep housing struggling talents. In order to prevent the demolition of Nezumi-sou, the residents decide to participate in a reality show project initiated by their manager, Hojo Kajino, called "Dropout Idol Fruit Tart." They form an idol unit called "Fruit Tart" and aim to repay a debt of 100 million yen by starting their activities.
